TRIAX is part of Tecnifibre’s new string segment “Multifilament Poly-Fusion”. These strings are a unique offering from Tecnifibre and are used to create a real hybrid string, rather than the traditional setup of one piece multifilament and one piece polyester.
A traditional hybrid is limited by the differences between a multifilament and a polyester string. They are not working in harmony together.
- A multifilament is used to add comfort and reduce shock, but its full benefits are limited by half of the string bed being in polyester which is a string that has high levels of shock and reduces comfort.
- A polyester is used to add more durability, but the string bed is still only as durable as the multifilament, which will normally always break first.
TRIAX is the first string made with co-polyester fibres inside. These fibres make the multifilament string firmer and greatly increase its durability. TRIAX is aimed at advanced and expert players using powerful frames who are regular breakers and require higher control, spin and arm protection and greater durability but also comfort.
The 3 reasons to play with TRIAX (all data provided by TecniLab):
- + 15% firmness vs a classic multifilament thanks to co-polyester fibres, which provides the player with more spin and more control.
- + 15% shock absorption vs a classic polyester thanks to a unique setting of PU HD (100% elasticity). This provides the player with more arm protection and comfort.
- + 50% durability vs a classic multifilament thanks to exclusive use of co-polyester fibres named TPI.

Items can be returned for a refund for 28 days after purchase. After this time, we can’t offer you a refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Please note items purchased from the clearance section of the site cannot be returned for a refund or exchanged.
We don’t offer an exchange service (for example if you wanted to change a shirt from size Small to Medium), so you will need to return your item for a refund and place a new order for the variant from the website.
To start the returns process please raise a return request from the orders page in my account section of the website. We will review your return within 24hours (Mon-Fri) and reply with instructions for how to return items from your order.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning any item(s). If you request a refund for an item where we have provided free shipping, we reserve the right to deduct from your refund the cost incurred by us in shipping the order to you in the first instance.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. The refunded amount will automatically be credited to your original method of payment.
If you need to make a warranty claim please send an email to returns@smashsports.co.uk stating your order number, the product and a description of the fault with images. We will then provide you with instructions to process your claim.
